Series are the most enjoyable way to get used to fast Spanish, accents and slang. The key is to watch the right way.
What to watch
To start: “Valeria” and “Las chicas del cable” — clear dialogues and everyday vocabulary. For a confident level: “La casa de papel”, “Élite” and “Gran Hotel” — faster speech, more emotion and slang.
How to watch with benefit
Turn on Spanish subtitles, not English ones. Watch each episode twice: first for the plot, then writing down 5–7 phrases. Repeat your favourite characters’ lines out loud, copying their intonation.
