Frequently asked questions about the pair format

What if one partner is sick or cannot attend?
You have several convenient options: 1) Reschedule the shared lesson: notify the teacher 24 hours in advance, and the lesson is moved to another day without charge. 2) Individual lesson: the attending student can have a solo lesson with the teacher (the lesson is counted for both), and the absent partner receives a class recording and homework materials.
Can we study if our levels differ slightly?
Yes! A small difference (for example, one of you studied Spanish for 2 months and the other is a complete beginner) is easily smoothed out in the first 3-4 lessons. Our teacher gives differentiated tasks: more complex phrases for the one ahead, and comfortable structures for the beginner. If the gap is too large (for example, A1 vs B2), we will recommend separate pairs for your comfort.
How does the school match a partner if I come alone?
A MaxiTalk methodologist tests your level and surveys your goals (career, travel, or DELE, as well as preferred days/hours). We match you with a student from our waiting list with a 100% schedule and temperament match. A trial lesson will show if you are comfortable together.
Can each of us pay separately?
Of course! Each participant receives a separate payment link by card or IBAN details. You are not financially responsible for paying for another person.
Is it possible to have lessons with a native speaker in the pair format?
Yes, starting from level A2–B1 we actively involve native speakers from Spain, Argentina, or Mexico, or build a combined program (Ukrainian teacher for grammar + native speaker for a conversation session once a week).
