How to prepare for DELE in 3 months: a practical plan

The Instituto Cervantes exam tests four skills. Here is how to split your time so you arrive at the exam calm and confident.

DELE is an international certificate recognised by universities and employers in Spain. The exam covers reading, listening, writing and speaking, and each skill needs its own training.

Month 1: diagnosis and foundations

Take a mock test for your level and look honestly at where you lose points. Close grammar gaps and listen to 15 minutes of Spanish every day — podcasts, news, series.

Month 2: the exam format

Solve tasks from official samples against the clock. Write two texts a week and get detailed feedback from a teacher — writing is the skill that drops most often.

Month 3: speaking and stress

Practise monologues and dialogues with prompt cards and a timer. Do two full mock exams in near-real conditions. Our teachers hold Instituto Cervantes examiner certificates and run such simulations on the individual track.
